Half Lap is similar to shiplap but without the curvature and gives a smoother clean linear appearance compared to other profiles. Half Lap offers robust weather protection. A contemporary modern looks for new builds or restorations. The gap between boards overlap can increased to create a more "tongue and grove" style appearance. Stainless nails fixing should be used either nails or screws.
