A. Co2 Grandis ® is a straight grained hardwood that is easy to machine with excellent working properties. Co2 Grandis ® is easily stained or painted and is fungi resistant with a durability class of 2-3
A. No. You do not need to treat Co2 Grandis ® because it is a naturally durable timber. Co2 Grandis ® will turn a silvery colour after a period of time if left untreated. Should you wish to maintain the natural colour of the timber a treatment will be needed, we recommend a product called Osmo please see our Osmo page.
A. Because of the natural oils in Co2 Grandis ® stainless steel fixings must be used. If not used a black line will ruin the face of your Cladding because of the reaction with non stainless steel screws/nails.
It's very much a personal choice depending on whether you want a rustic, traditional or contemporary finish.
Due to it adaptability there are thousand of situation which lend themselves to cladding with Co2 Grandis ® timber rather than PVC or alternative materials. Typical uses :- Summer houses, Conservatories , garden offices/workshops, door frames, windows frames, decking, flooring trellis and fencing.
